Itinerary
Upon arrival in Oslo direct transfer to visit Akershus – a medieval castle that was originally built to provide shelter and protection for the Norwegian royal family. Photo stop at The Vigeland Park, which is one of the popular tourist destinations in Oslo. This park is named after the famous Norwegian artist, Gustav Vigeland, who created the designs and artworks in the park. Vigeland Park has more than 200 new granite statues depicting humans in various poses and expressions.
After breakfast, you will be taken to the pier at Aker Brygge, then sail past the Akershus fortress. From here, a short journey to the beautiful green islands scattered in the fjord, homes full of mystery and stories. We can also see the charming Norwegian cottages and houses along the Nesodden coast. As the ship sails far from the city, the cruise ship will launch an underwater drone where we can see the world beneath the surface of the Oslo fjord. On the way back, we will pass the Dyna Lighthouse and get a close look at Oslo’s most iconic buildings. Before we return to Aker Brygge, we will also pass Bygdøy Island where you will get the chance to get off and continue your exploration in one of the many museums.
After breakfast, you will be picked up by our guide and directly go visit Ekeberg Park: An open park in Oslo that covers an area of about 25 hectares and is known for its beautiful surroundings, including forests, hills, and panoramic views of the city and the Oslo Fjord. Then continue to visit Oslo Opera House, known as “Operahuset,” which is a striking and innovative architectural landmark located on the waterfront of Oslo, Norway. The building opened in 2008 and serves as the home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. Later you’ll visit FRAM Museum of Polar Exploration. A symbol of Norway’s important participation in the era of heroic exploration. This wooden ship’s history is that it is the strongest ship in the world. Here, visitors can go aboard and look around the cabin, lounge, cargo hold, and engine room.
