Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Reykjavik

Upon arrival in Reykjavik transfer to your Hotel. After checking in at your hotel, proceed to Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s most popular attractions, a natural geothermal pool in the middle of a large and dramatic lava field and an oasis that owes its existence to a nearby geothermal power plant, looming large over the aqua tinted waters. Stop for 1,5 hour for a refreshing bathe or a swim in the inviting, rejuvenating warm mineral-rich water, reputed for its healing properties. An indoor pool and geothermal sauna are also on the site. Bathing in this surreal environment is a unique experience no one should miss.

Day 02 : Reyjavik City Tour

After breakfast, directly heading to the Reykjavik City Tour. The city tour includes a visit to the presidential residence at Bessastaðir as well as Hafnarfjörður, the town where the “hidden people” and humans live together in harmony. There we also visit the old fishing harbor, the pearl, Höfði summit house, Hallgríms church, the city center and Laugardalur Park .

Day 03: Golden Circle Tour

This tour includes Pingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Alpingi was established in 930 AD and which was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in August 2004. Continue to the beautiful waterfall Gullfoss (Golden Waterfall) in the golden rays of the setting sun. From there, visit the geothermal area around the incredible spouting geysers of Geysir and Strokkur, echoing into the peaceful evening glow.

Day 04: Full day Adventure Tour

First, it is time for the Horseback riding and Lava Tour. The trip takes 3 hours including transfers and about 1,5 to 2 hours riding including stops from the Riding Centre into the lava fields surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano to the old Kaldársel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides. In the evening it is time for the Northern Lights Hunt! The Northern lights also known as the Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the Icelandic arctic sky. This tour is dependent on weather, sightings are not guaranteed.

Day 05 : Whale Watching Tour

Transfer for a 3 hour- whalewatching Tour. The most common whales to see during the winter season are white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises, humpback whales and killer whales. Enjoy sailing in Faxaflói bay in a 3-hour cruise trying to spot the wildlife in the sea; white beaked dolphins, mink whales, harbor porpoises, seals and a wide variety of birdlife.

Day 06: End of journey
